Intended Use
- Privatedec is intended to support privacy-preserving preparation of datasets for research, analytics, and responsible data sharing.
- Privatedec is not a substitute for institutional compliance programs, legal counsel, or IRB review.
User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for confirming that you have the right to upload and process the data you provide.
- You must comply with applicable laws and policies, including healthcare privacy obligations where relevant.
- You are responsible for selecting appropriate parameters and reviewing outputs before sharing or using them.
Prohibited Use
- Attempting to re-identify individuals from processed outputs.
- Uploading data for which you do not have authorization or legal basis to process.
- Using the service for unlawful, abusive, or harmful purposes.
No Warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. De-identification and anonymization are risk-reduction techniques and cannot be guaranteed to be irreversible.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Privatedec will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
